Designated Centre

What is Our Designated Centre

The Designated Centre provides assisted living with the aim of supporting and enabling service users to maximise their ability and minimise the effects of their disability.

The long-term service operates on a 7-day week basis, all year round. Respite is provided on Monday to Sunday weekly. Staff sleep over in the accommodation provided and are on call for emergencies.

The service aims to meet the needs of people who have low to medium support needs. Abode is not a medical/nursing facility and therefore does not provide active medical treatment or nursing care.

Our residents are encouraged to live their lives as independently as possible, all the while having support from staff if or when they need this. Our residents enjoy activities tailored to their needs both within Abode and within the community.

Abode Outreach Service

Abode provides respite Services for those who meet our admissions criteria. Fully equipped rooms for respite, including accessible kitchen areas in three of these rooms and each have their own self-contained bathrooms. As part of respite, service users can avail of community activities and centre-based activities, with support of the staff if required.
