Respite Accommodation

Since services began in 1986 one of the most important and popular service Abode has been providing is the residential respite Service. Breaks are available from Monday to Friday and longer breaks including a weekend are offered through the year. This service enables service users to have time away from home in a safe accessible environment. The accommodation is designed to give the service users as much independence as is practical. Fully trained experienced staff are available to assist if required to do so by the service user.

Short Term Accommodation is also available for students attending internal (The Abode run Independent living Programme) and external courses in the many educational facilities in Cork or other similar services.
